Time management

Time management for this music video, I would say would be good. This is because we started filming straight away and kept on going with it suring our fee periods and whenever we could. We were quite good with the editing aswell because we were making sure we did what we could when we had fee time. All though I wouldn't call our time management excellent because we were lacking a bit with our editing at the end. I feel like we could have maybe achieved a bit more more with it. We did come accross problems like; the laptop didn't work; so we went and did more filming and the laptop was being used; so I booked it for early the next morning.
Overall I would say our time management has been good because we were rushed at the end but we did meet the deadline.

Practise music video-Planning

We thought for our music video; that we would get some insipration through the oringinal music video for this song; Dusty Springfield- Son of a Preacher:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dp4339EbVn8. Then we realised that is wasn't any real help at all because it was back in the 80's and all of the clothes and mise-en-scene was based around this. So we decided to look at the COUNTRY genre in people like; Taylor Swift. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xKCek6_dB0M

So we asked the actress that we picked (Victoria Burton) to curl her hair, wear a checkered shirt and jeans. So we asked our friend Vicky to be in the video and we also asked our friend Jake. They were happy to do it. We also asked jake to wear a tie and shirt and plain trousers because he was supposed to be a preachers son, a goodie too shoes. So we wanted to make him look like innocent and geeky. We also though about where we were going to film it. There is a pond near the school and we though we would film everything at different areas near there.

Practise music video-Filming

When we were filming we came accross a range of problems. One of them was that the boy we wanted to have in the music video was unavaliable right at the start. So we just filmed what Vicky could on her own first of all. These were the singing parts. We filmed her at different locations singing like, at a bridge by the pond, in the woods and right by the pond. Then Jake arrived half way through and we filmed the rest that we needed to. The complications that we came accross were; it was raining. We dealt with it quite well. The only thing is that Vicky is using an umbrella in most of the music video. We though this tied in quite well though we the genre of the song. For this day we couldn't get everything filmed so we used some of our fee periods to film some more on odd days here and there.
