A2 Music Video: Decided when we are going to film next

We were discussing it and we have decided that we are definitely going to film on Sunday, with or without Jake. We were talking to other students who have completed this A level and they're music video and saw that you don't have to have a brilliant idea of clips to get a good grade. So we were discussing about just filming me singing to the camera at home to make it very simple and focus on the key marks we could get from holding a shot steady. We have not made a plan to film with Jake yet but we will next week. We will need to film and edit on our own time because last week was this week was the last of the filming and editing time we have been given within the lesson. In the lesson we are now focusing on the digipacks we are going to create for our music video/artist. We are also going to create a magazine advert for it as well. This means on Sunday or one day next week we will need to take pictures of Myself for the advert and digipack. It will be a good idea to take some pictures on Sunday when we are filming because we are already prepared for photos and videos.

A2 Music Video: When are we next going to film?

We were supposed to be filming with Jake today but Lysette and myself were both feeling very ill and could not attend school. We let Jake know that we would not be able to film today. We have however been discussing when we are next going to film. We were thinking about filming at the weekend because Jake is not available tomorrow (which is a Friday). We will discuss when to film later on and I will be posting it on my blog tomorrow. We will also be discussing what we are going to film.

A2 Music Video: Filming tomorrow!

We are going to film with Jake tomorrow, we want a lot more boyfriend clips with him. So we have a more variety of footage to use in our music video. We are hoping to have a good hour of shooting with him.

A2 Music Video Filming Part 2

Today I would say filming went OK. It didn't go badly but it didn't go great. We got some footage that we can use but not that much to be honest. We went to a range of locations with Jake. We went to the pond near school, the small bridge there and on the cycle track. We shot various amounts of footage in these places. First of all we tried to film the bit where Jake gets run over, this idea didn't really work because we didn't have Simone to help us shoot this. So we moved on along the underpass and filmed a bit where I look once and Jake is there and I look again and Jakes appears. This went OK but we felt we needed a range of locations to film. We also needed to do it quick because the battery in the camera ran out very quickly. We then went to a little bridge by the pond near our school. We filmed a bit where the song goes a lot slower. I sang to Jake at this point because it would add more of an affect to the video. It did take a few tries however because I was giggling too much and Jake was making me laugh. We did get some good footage of this and a good high angle shot was used. We then stopped shooting because it became too cold and Lysette, Jake and I got very cold to do anything else outside. So we thought that the next time we film, we will maybe film inside.

A2 Music Video: Preparing for filming tomorrow

Today I wanted to make sure Jake was still alright to film tomorrow so I texted him and he said he was fine with it. We will be filming during the two hours of media tomorrow. Most of the footage we film will be of Jake but we want more of me singing so hopefully we get a lot of both tomorrow. With the two hour we have hopefully we get a lot of it done. We didn't really need to think a lot about the costume of Jake and myself. This is because it will be mostly narrative clips and not performance clips so we didn't need to think alot about the clothes we were going to wear. I just asked Jake not to wear anything to smart. This is because normally Jake is quite smart for Sixth Form but we didn't want his character to be too nerdy so we asked him to dress quite casual for tomorrow. I will be wearing a demin dress and black leggings because it is simple and clasy so it is not too out there and loud. We decided I was not going to wear the same outfit as I did for the first part of filming because the next clips we are going to film are before my boyfriend dies in an accident. The clips of me singing the in the other outfit are after he has died. It will look silly if I am just in the one outfit the whole way through. It wouldn't look like we have thought it through enough. We are hopefully going to shoot more footage of me singing tomorrow because some of the other footage we shot we couldn't use because the tripod was in the way of some of the shots.

A2 Music Video: Discussion For What We May Be Filming

I was talking to my sister and we have a lot more ideas of what to film and where for our music video. We want to film more footage of me singing in different places. This will be around school because we want to film some of the footage around the school; like Netwell Pond and the area by there. This is so it will give us a lot of locations for our video so it isn't so boring being in just one place. Also if we filmed it during school time we will not be wasting time because we have been giving this time to film and edit. We are also taking the camera home to film whenever we can. We can not afford to waste any time. We are also going to be filming Jake. We have already discussed that he may be getting run over by Simone in his car. We are sure that Jake is unfortunately going to die in the music video because it is one of our main themes for the video. We will be filming Jake being my boyfriend, being thre when he isn't supposed to because he is dead (being everywhere like the song) and we will discuss other ideas before we start filming the video.

A2 Music Video: Possible New Actor and Idea

We had an idea of how Jake might die in our music video. We know he is going to die tragically in our music video because is it one of our main themes of the video. We just needed to figure out how he is going to do die. We were thinking of how he could die and who would be respnsible for it. The idea that kept cropping up in our discussion was; Jake being killed in a car accident. We decided this is how he was going to die. So we just needed to figure out who was going to kill him and where. When we were thinking of who would kill Jake we obviously knew they needed to know how to drive a car. The firast person we thought of was Simone. Simone is in our year; year 13. We asked him and he is happy to take part in our music video as the part of the driver. We have not yet discussed when we are going to film with him but we will soon. We were thinking that the best place for filming the car scene would be in front of the school because then we didn't have to go far out of the school site. This is because we do not have enough time to walk/drive anywhere else because we all have lessons throught everyday at school during the week.
