A2 Music Video: New list of song choices

When thinking of new song choices and ideas, we wanted a female artist and a song that would suit one of us ( myself or Lysette.) While looking at different song choices we were putting things like; female artists, number ones of the 2000's, every number one in the last ten years. This is because we wanted to choose a song that we both know throughout because we can't waste time learning it now. These are the songs that we were looking at;



Katy Perry- Thinking of you

We thought of this song because it is a simple song about a girl feeling guilty about being with another boy after her boyfriend was killed in the war. I quite liked this song because I thought it would be quite easy to film but Lysette thought the opposite so we decided against this song because we wanted to agree on the song we choose.

Avril Lavigne - When your gone

We wanted the song that we chose to be quite a rock, pop song but not too busy and loud in the camera work. We just wanted a girl singing to make it quite simple with clips of other things involved. Then we decided it would be quite hard to do because of the original music video and i'ts expectations so we decided not to do it.

We thought this song would be quite good to do because it's quite simple and sweet, then we began to think of ideas. We then realised we couldn't think of ONE idea. This is why we chose against the song.

Vanessa Carlton- A Thousand miles

We then looked at another Vanessa Carlton song because we thought her songs were just the style of music we were looking for. We came accross A thousand Miles. Everyone knows this song and video; where she is playing a moving piano. As we discovered from the last song by her; we had no ideas for this song because it isn't really a narrative song. We again, rejected this song.

Taylor Swift- Love story

We then looked at Love Story by Taylor Swift. We both love this song and I really wanted to do this song for our music video. However Lysette didn't, we wanted to agree on a song together so we got rid of this idea. Lysette then persuaded me to see that because the original music video was such a big production; we wouldn't be able to live up to it and handle the expectations.

Leona Lewis- Bleeding love

Everyone has heard of this song and the singer that sung it. As the last music video originally done, we saw it as too much of a big production. We also thought if we chose this song we would just copy the music video because of the narrative in the song. This is what we didn't want, we want to use our original own ideas.

Lindsay Lohan- Over

My sister found this song by Lindsay Lohan and we both have heard it in the past. We knew it but not really well enough to do a music video to it. We needed one of us to sing it, so we needed to know the complete lyrics. We don't have enough time to learn the words because we changed our idea so we went against this song.

Michelle Branch- Everywhere

We then came accross this song. Michelle Branch's song: Everywhere. This song was out a few years ago in America. We loved this song back then and still do now. We both know all the lyrics for it and could allready think of ideas for it. We decided that this was going to be our final song choice. I will post the ideas we had on a sperate blog.
